The Wire Dog Name Considerations

When you are given the task of naming your dog, it almost seems as if it’s a straightforward process – you simply pick a name that you like and voila! However, a lot of thought goes into the naming process. Aside from the fact that there are literally thousands of names to choose from, you also have to think about certain factors such as the meaning, how it fits your dog’s attributes and a whole lot more.

One of the main things that you need to take into account is how easy it will be for your dog to recall the name. Basically, this means choosing a name that is not too long and has a clear sound. The ideal length of a dog name is no more than three syllables, since dogs can only remember the first few syllables of any given word. It also helps when you know which sounds work best; it is recommended that the name starts with a letter that has a sharp and apparent sound.

Naming their furbabies after television shows is also a common practice among dog owners. For The Wire-inspired names, you can select from the most liked characters in the series. A couple of the memorable characters to be featured in The Wire include Jimmy McNulty, Kima Greggs, Reginald “Bubbles” Cousins and Omar Little.
